Dinesh Deckker
Author, academic researcher, and digital marketing strategist. Sri Lankan-born, based in Muscat, Oman. Two decades of publishing, digital strategy, and scholarly inquiry.
Author, Academic & Digital Strategist
I am Dinesh Deckker — a bestselling KDP author, researcher, and digital marketing strategist with over twenty years of professional experience. Born in Sri Lanka and based in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, my work spans children's literature, biblical fiction, academic research, and digital platform development.
As a publisher on Amazon KDP, I have built a catalog of more than 300 titles, placing me in the top 3–5% of KDP authors globally by organic royalties. My most recognised work is the Bible Adventure Series — 80+ children's Bible picture books co-authored with Subhashini Sumanasekara — with multiple titles ranking in Amazon's top 100 for Children's Picture Bibles.
In parallel, I pursue doctoral research, co-authoring peer-reviewed work on artificial intelligence, digital culture, and bias in AI systems. My academic collaborators include Dr. Sree Lakshmi Ammanamanchi and Subhashini Sumanasekara.
As a Digital Marketing Strategist
With more than two decades in the field, I have developed expertise spanning SEO, content marketing, digital publishing strategy, and platform development. My publishing business is built on organic discovery — understanding how algorithms, keywords, and cover design combine to surface books to the right readers without paid advertising.
Much of my children's publishing is a partnership: the Bible Adventure Series is co-authored with my wife, Subhashini Sumanasekara, an ICT educator and children's author who shares my passion for storytelling and learning.
Areas of Scholarly Interest
My research interests sit at the intersection of digital culture, artificial intelligence, and biblical scholarship. I have published on AI bias and representation, corpus linguistics, and early Christian texts — including a graduate-level paper on the Aramaic word "Rabboni" in John 20:16, and a book chapter on algorithmic aesthetics and caste-coded beauty in India.
